Best Utah Adventure Date Ideas

A Year of Adventure Date Ideas

During quarantine, I had the grand idea of giving Dustin a year of dates for Christmas. I spent all my free time scouring the internet on a mission to find the most unique adventure date ideas. I was blown away by some of the fun and amazing things our great state of Utah has to offer.

Unfortunately, once I finally narrowed down what I wanted to do and adding up how much it would cost I realized I have REALLY expensive taste. With Emma being due later that year and the unknown of COVID I decided it probably wasn’t the wisest decision to carry out my grand idea. But to make it not a complete waste of time I decided I would share what I found with all of you.

Below you will find 12 knock your socks off date ideas. You are welcome to use them for your own year of dates gift or pick and choose ideas that you love to add to your own dating arsenal. Enjoy!

Snowcat skiing at Powder Mountain

Snowcat Skiing at Powder Mountain

Next to snowshoeing, you really can’t beat a day on the slopes. Dustin and I used to spend most of the winter skiing/snowboarding before we had kids. Now it is a rare treat when we get to spend a whole day on the mountain. One of our all-time favorite ski resorts is Powder Mountain. It truly is a hidden gem. Here are some of the things we LOVE about Powder: They limit the tickets sold to 1500 daily so the mountain is never overcrowded, it has over 8,000 skiable acres, and they even have the option to do backcountry heli or snowcat skiing.

Details:

Location: Eden, Utah

Day Pass: $105 per adult (9 am-9 pm)

Night Pass: $36 per adult (3 pm-9 pm)

Fifth Water Hot Springs Utah

Night Hike to Fifth Water Hot Springs

Hiking at night is always fun, but pair that with a hike that ends in a hot spring and you have yourself a true adventure. Fifth Water Hot Spring is located in Diamond Fork Canyon and is a popular destination. The hike is about 5 miles roundtrip and is best done between May-October. You can do this hike during the winter months (snowshoeing anyone?!) but you will have to hike farther as the gate to the road that leads to the trailhead will be closed. If you want to get out and enjoy this fun location I would recommend going at night, mid-week. That is the best way to beat the crowds and have the place to yourself.

  1. I would have to agree you have crazy expensive dates. Maybe instead of every month, it could be a date every season. That might help cut down on the costs.

    1. Yeah honestly I think a lot of the ideas are super cool, but I would have a really hard time stomaching paying that much. I think the ones I really want to do are the hot springs and the mystique dinner. I think paddleboard yoga would also be fun but I don’t think Dustin wouldn’t agree to do that with me 🙂
